Common Questions
The details, before you commit.
What uses one credit?
Running a report on one sermon submitted as text (manuscript or transcript). Revising and resubmitting the same sermon uses another credit if you want to compare drafts. Submissions from a preacher on a mentoring seat draw on that seat's monthly allowance and never touch your credits.
What happens if I hit my monthly limit?
You can either upgrade to the next tier mid-month (prorated) or wait for your next billing cycle. We don't auto-charge for overages — you stay in control of your spend. If you'd rather not change tiers, you can also buy a pack to bridge the gap.
What about refunds?
Every subscription comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If The Sermon Coach isn't useful for your preaching after a month of real use, email Chris and you'll get a full refund — no issues. Packs can be refunded within 7 days of purchase if no credits have been used.
What happens to a seat if I cancel?
The seat stays open through the billing period you have already paid for. When it closes, the mentoring relationship it was paying for ends.
Everything you have already released stays readable on both sides. Your mentee keeps their account and their library, and can carry on with a plan of their own whenever they want.
Anything you are still holding stays with you when a seat closes. If there is a scored evaluation you want them to have, release it before the seat closes, or end the relationship yourself, which hands over everything you were holding.
Do seats come with the same guarantee?
Yes. Same 30 days as any subscription. If a seat is not doing real work for the preacher you are developing after a month, email Chris and you get the month back.
Can I give a seat to someone else?
A seat is capacity, not a person. End the relationship, or withdraw the invitation if it was never accepted, and the seat is free to offer to someone else.
What if I hold several seats and drop one?
You can choose which one closes. End the relationship you want to close before the period ends, using the End mentoring button on that relationship.
If you do not choose, we close them in order. Unaccepted invitations first, then the oldest relationship. Apprentice and Colleague seats are counted separately, so dropping one does not touch the other.
Will the price go up?
Probably, as the product grows. That's why it says introductory. If you subscribe now, your rate stays where it is for as long as your subscription stays active. Packs are priced separately and are not covered by that.
Is there a free trial?
Sort of — better than a trial. Your first evaluation is free when you create an account. No card, no commitment. Submit a sermon, get the full evaluation back in a few minutes, and see the rubric on your own preaching before you decide anything. If it's useful, subscribe or grab a pack. If it's not, you've lost nothing but the time it took to paste in a manuscript.
